Nuclear talks between Iran and six major world powers (United States, Britain, France, Germany, Russia and China) have been extended twice since 2013. Today is the supposed to be the final deadline to reach an agreement. Leaders, including President Obama, have said that they are not interested in a third extension. I see this as a lose/lose situation for the West and Israel. I fear that these negotiaions may end up with a bad deal, and there will be a nuclear arms race in the Middle East. It also makes me fear for the safety of Israel. |

No one ever will be able to convince me that a fetus is not a person and that abortion is not the killing of a human being. This astonishing video of an ultrasound shows a fetus, 14 weeks old, clapping in its mother’s womb: King David was Israel’s greatest king. Speaking to God, he said, “[Y]ou brought me out of the womb.... [F]rom my mother’s womb you have been my God” (Psalm 22:9,10). He also said, “From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother’s womb. I will ever praise you.” It’s a good thing that the mother of this great man, an ancestor of Jesus, did not choose to have an abortion. |

This is “Palm Sunday,” the day that Jesus entered Jerusalem on a donkey. This was prophesied to take place centuries before it happened: Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey. (Zechariah 9:9) As Yeshua/Jesus, the Messiah/Christ, passed by, the people who had witnessed the countless miracles He had done shouted, “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest!” (Matthew 21:9) A few days later on Passover, Jesus our Passover Lamb was sacrificed. He was the Lamb of God who took away the sins of the world (John 1:29). See more details in parallels between Jesus and the Passover lamb. |

The most common consensus as to the cause of the crash of Germanwings Flight 9525 on Mar. 24 is that it was a deliberate act by the co-pilot, Andreas Lubitz. The plane, carrying 150 people, including Lubitz, went down in the French Alps. "Everyone Will Know My Name" She also said that, plagued by nightmares, Lubitz would wake up screaming, “We’re going down!” That sounds to me like he may have been possessed by a demon that compelled him to perform one of the most vile and abhorrent acts of murder conceivable. I wonder if he realized, as the plane was going down, that he would be one of the most despised men in the whole world. |

One of my closest friends is a retired state police captain. He served honorably, effectively, and compassionately for decades. and he is one of the nicest and most upstanding people I’ve ever known. Those who know him feel the same way. He says that he drove about 1½ million miles during his many years of patroling highways, keeping drivers safe.
Those in law enforcement serve us daily and sometimes give their lives in this service. The careless rhetoric that has radiated from Ernie Chambers, as well as from other liberal progressives in government, endagers police officers everywhere. There are many thugs out there who have been waiting for the excuse to attack the police, and this deplorable language by a state senator could do just that. |

I am listening to one of my favorite radio stations, 600 KOGO in San Diego, as I usually do in the mornings. At about 10:25 a.m. PDT, there was a tsunami alert test that was broadcast by the Emergency Alert System. That is because San Diego, as well as all of coastal California, is part of a Tsunami Hazard Zone. The last big earthquake felt in San Diego was the Baja California earthquake on Apr. 4, 2010. The magnitude was 7.2. Had the epicenter of that quake been just off of the Southern California or Baja California coast, it could have generated a dangerous tsunami. The Temple Institute in Jerusalem has announced that it has finished building an altar. Orthodox Jews believe that this altar will go in the Third Temple, once it is built. That article points out that the words “holy place” in Matthew 24:15 and “temple” in 2 Thessalonians 2:4 and Revelation 11:1,2 predict the rebuilding of the temple in the future. Personally, I am not convinced that a manmade third temple will stand in Jerusalem before Jesus returns, as explained in this response that I wrote to someone’s email: |

The beginning of Revelation 12 reads like this: A great and wondrous sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on his heads. His tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that he might devour her child the moment it was born. (Revelation 12:1-4) I have been questioned before about when the “red dragon” (Satan) swept a third of the stars (angels) out of the sky (heaven) and flung them to the earth. Was this a past event, or is it yet to take place in the future? My response is here: In my email response, I consider the timing of what I feel will be a future battle in heaven: And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. (Revelation 12:7-9) This will happen at the beginning of the Great Tribulation period yet to come, perhaps sooner rather than later. It has been noted in my anticipated prophetic events section as one of six events to take place at that time. |

We all go through difficult circumstances. Some of them push us to the edge of what we can stand. These trials happen to everyone, even to those who have a strong, enduring faith in God. In essence, we are like pieces of pottery that God has created, formed, passed through the fire, and put into use. Yet, O LORD, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand. (Isaiah 64:8) Two of the best videos I have seen were produced by Day of Discovery Ministries. Christians believe that the blood shed by Jesus, along with His death on the cross, atoned for our sins. His resurrection from the dead, three days later, brought salvation and eternal life to those who acknowledge Him as Lord and who believe that He was raised from the dead: “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (Romans 10:8-10) Our salvation depends on faith and not works (Ephesians 2:8,9). Therefore, most Christians believe that the regulations and instructions in the Torah were “done away with” when Jesus took our sins to the cross. |

Most non-Christians do not grasp the concept of the Trinity. Even some Christians struggle with this idea. Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Both, simultaneously, are attributes of His constitution and composition. Here is an email response I have written about this topic: |

Six branches are to extend from the sides of the lampstand—three on one side and three on the other. (Exodus 25:31,32) The three branches on each side are separated by the main shaft in the middle. Olive oil in the base of the menorah rises up into the center shaft and then into each of the six branches to keep all the flames burning. |

Recently, I saw a Nova special about Petra. It is an ancient uninhabited city carved out of stone, located in a mountain/desert area of southern Jordan. I found it to be an extremely interesting documentary. The main reason it interested me is because many feel Petra is the place where Jesus told those in the region of Judea to flee after they see the abomination that causes desolation being set up. That will begin the Great Tribulation period: the most stressful time in human history up to that point. So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand—then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great tribulation, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. (Matthew 24:15-27) Those who flee will be a remnant of the woman, or Israel, who will be protected for 1,260 days after reaching their destination: The woman fled into the desert to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days. ... The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the desert, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach. (Revelation 12:6,14) Wherever it is that these people will flee, which may or may not be to Petra, they will be protected by God for “a time, times, and half a time” = “1 year + 2 years + ½ year” or about 3½ years. One reason many feel that the people will flee to Petra is because of this: He will also invade the Beautiful Land. Many countries will fall, but Edom, Moab and the leaders of Ammon will be delivered from his hand. (Daniel 11:41) “He” is the Antichrist, and the “Beautiful Land” most likely is Israel. Petra is located in the portion of Jordan that was known as Edom in ancient times, and this will be one region that God will keep off-limits to the Antichrist. Furthermore, when Jesus returns, it will be at Bozrah, which also is in Edom, when He begins treading the winepress of God’s wrath: Who is this coming from Edom, from Bozrah, with his garments stained crimson? Who is this, robed in splendor, striding forward in the greatness of his strength? “It is I, speaking in righteousness, mighty to save.” Why are your garments red, like those of one treading the winepress? “I have trodden the winepress alone; from the nations no one was with me. I trampled them in my anger and trod them down in my wrath; their blood spattered my garments, and I stained all my clothing.” (Isaiah 63:1-3) A 3-minute portion of a video on God’s Learning Channel talks about Petra. It is from minute 5:00 to minute 8:00. This interesting video may be up for only another week or two: At the return of Jesus to earth, He will liberate those who fled at the beginning of the Great Tribulation and will bring them back to Jerusalem. On that same day, His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives (Zechariah 12:4), and He will begin reigning as King over the whole earth (14:9). |

Today is the last day of the White House Countering Violent Extremism Summit. Barack Obama finally admitted that the 21 Egyptians killed by radical Islamists on Feb. 15 were Christians. Evidently, he felt compelled to acknowledge it, since it was obvious to everyone else that this is what had occurred. Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist—he denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also. See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. (1 John 2:22-24) Muhammad was persuaded and misled by this antichrist spirit. Moreover, the Antichrist to come also will deny that Jesus was the Son of God. |

Today is Friday the 13th. There will be another one next month. Although many people are apprehensive and superstitious about this day, it is an irrelevant day to me. And he performed great and miraculous signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to earth in full view of men. (Revelation 13:13) The “he” in that verse is the second beast described by the apostle John. This entity—or, perhaps, two entities because, figuratively, it was seen by John to have “two horns”—will cause the inhabitants of the earth to worship the first beast. The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness. (2 Thessalonians 2:9-12) So this powerful delusion, that will deceive many people lacking a belief in the one, true God (who is not Allah), is inevitable. Many, including myself, feel that this deception will begun soon and then escalate to a peak within a relatively short period of time. |

A “Stand with the Prophet in Honor & Respect” conference is scheduled to take place this weekend in Garland, Texas. Organizers state, “This is not an event. It is the beginning of a movement to defend Prophet Muhammad, his person, and his message.”
I think that most people, including Muslims, do not realize that the main foundational tenet of Islam, pertaining to the prophet Muhammad, is patently false. This basic precept of Islam originates from something that God told Moses to state to the Israelites: The LORD your God will raise up for you a prophet like me [Moses] from among your own brothers. You must listen to him. ... I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. (Deuteronomy 18:15,18) The principal belief of Islam is that this prophet, whom God said would be coming, was Muhammad. Yet, God had made it clear that the prophet to come would be a brother of the Israelites; that is, he would be an Israelite himself. Muhammad was not an Israelite; he was an Arab. The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright. But their swords will pierce their own hearts, and their bows will be broken. (Psalm 37:14,15) On the contrary, the “Sword of the Spirit”—Yeshua/Jesus—is the Word of God who will strike down the nations that have come against Him, His brothers and sisters, and His followers. This will be when He returns to rule and reign as King over the whole earth (Zechariah 14:9). Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. (Revelation 19:15) Islam adamantly rejects the fact that Allah had a son. Truly, Allah did not have a son because, as previously noted, Allah is not God. On the contrary, the one, true God did have an only begotten Son, Jesus, whom He sent to redeem the sins of those who will believe in Him. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16) |
