Passover Week

Once the Third Temple has been built, sacrifice and offering will take place, including during Passover week (the Feast of Unleavened Bread):

This would seem to be an optimal time for the Antichrist to put a stop to sacrifice and offering in the temple, if only for the cause of “animal welfare.”  Perhaps it might even be Resurrection Sunday (Easter) of that week that he will do the following:

  • set up the abomination that causes desolation in the Jewish temple, and
  • set himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God (2 Thessalonians 2:4), as well as:
    • blaspheme God and slander His name,
    • begin to exercise his authority for 42 months (3˝ years) “over every tribe, people, language and nation,” and
    • begin to make war against Christians and Jews and to conquer them (Daniel 7:25; Revelation 12:17, 13:5-7).
