The European Neighbourhood Policy

The European Union developed the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP)

  • with the stated objective of removing dividing lines between the EU and its neighbors, and also
  • to strengthen the prosperity, stability, peace and security of all concerned.

The ENP involves “many” (Daniel 9:27).  This is a list of the member nations:

Algeria     Israel     Palestinian Authority

Armenia     Jordan     Russian Federation

Azerbaijan     Lebanon     Syria

Belarus     Libya     Tunisia

Egypt     Moldova     Ukraine

Georgia     Morocco

The ENP is scheduled to extend through 2013, a 7-year period.  It seems to be a “confirmation” or a “strengthening” of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership (EuroMed), initiated in 1995, involving most of the same nations (including Israel).
