This month is ending today with a sizeable increase in most stock indices.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was up 1.20% to 27,781.70, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was up 0.83% to 3,363.00.  The NASDAQ Composite index was up 0.74% to 11,167.51.

Although major stock indices were up a bit this morning, they “zagged” way down during the day.  They “zigged” up somewhat later in the day, but they still were down when the market closed.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was down 0.48% to 27,452.66, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was down 0.48% to 3,335.47.  The NASDAQ Composite index was down 0.29% to 11,085.25.

Stock indices were up substantially today.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was up 1.51% to 27,584.06, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was up 1.61% to 3,351.60.  The NASDAQ Composite index was up 1.87% to 11,117.53.

There was some “zig-zagging” at the beginning of the trading period today.  After that, stock indices increased and ended the day with very solid gains.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was up 1.34% to 27,173.96, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was up 1.60% to 3,298.46.  The NASDAQ Composite index was up 2.26% to 10,913.56.

There was a lot of “zig-zag” gains-losses-gains-losses in stock indices today.  By the closing bell, though, there were mild widespread gains.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was up 0.20% to 26,815.44, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was up 0.30% to 3,246.59.  The NASDAQ Composite index was up 0.37% to 10,672.27.

There was a substantial decline, throughout the day, in stock indices.  The market closed with major widespread losses.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was down 1.92% to 26,763.13, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was down 2.37% to 3,236.92.  The NASDAQ Composite index was down 3.02% to 10,632.99.

After a 3-day losing streak, the Dow finally was up again today.  However, there was a lot of “zig-zagging” in most stock indices.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was up 0.52% to 27,288.18, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was up 1.05% to 3,315.57.  The NASDAQ Composite index was up 1.71% to 10,963.64.

There was an extensive plunge in most stock market indices today.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was down 1.84% to 27,147.70, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was down 1.16% to 3,281.06.  The NASDAQ Composite index was down 0.13% to 10,778.80.

Although there was a brief gain in stock indices this morning, there was an extensive decline during the rest of the day.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was down 0.88% to 27,657.42, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was down 1.12% to 3,319.47.  The NASDAQ Composite index was down 1.07% to 10,793.28.

There was a widespread decline in stock indices today.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was down 0.47% to 27,901.98, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was down 0.84% to 3,357.01.  The NASDAQ Composite index was down 1.27% to 10,910.28.

Although some stock indices were down today, the Dow was up a bit.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was up 0.13% to 28,032.38, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was down 0.46% to 3,385.49.  The NASDAQ Composite index was down 1.25% to 11,050.47.

Most stock indices ended up today, but they closed lower than they opened.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was up 0.01% to 27,995.60, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was up 0.52% to 3,401.20.  The NASDAQ Composite index was up 1.21% to 11,190.32.

There was a widespread increase in stock indices today.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was up 1.18% to 27,993.33, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was up 1.27% to 3,383.54, a record high.  The NASDAQ Composite index was up 1.87% to 11,056.65.

Stock indices were mixed today.  Everything started up at the beginning of the day.  By the end of the day, the Dow and S&P500 were up, but the NASDAQ was down.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was up 0.48% to 27,665.64, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was up 0.05% to 3,340.97, a record high.  The NASDAQ Composite index was down 0.60% to 10,853.55.

Following a big “zig” yesterday, the stock market had a big “zag” today.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was down 1.45% to 27,534.58, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was down 1.76% to 3,339.19.  The NASDAQ Composite index was down 1.99% to 10,919.59.

After three days of a down stock market, there was a significant rebound today.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was up 1.60% to 27,940.47, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was up 2.01% to 3,398.96, a record high.  The NASDAQ Composite index was up 2.71% to 3,398.96.

Stock indices began very low today and ended the day even lower.  This is the third notable decline in three trading days.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was down 2.25% to 27,500.89, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was down 2.78% to 3,331.84.  The NASDAQ Composite index was down 4.11% to 10,847.69.

Most stock indices began the day in positive territory.  However, by the closing bell, there had been a widespread decline, although not nearly as much as yesterday’s plunge.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was down 0.56% to 28,133.31, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was down 0.81% to 3,426.96.  The NASDAQ Composite index was down 1.27% to 11,313.14.

The stock market experienced a massive and widespread plunge today.  The Dow had its greatest one-day decline since June 11.

The Nasdaq has been outperforming the other two major stock indexes—the Dow and the S&P 500—for months.  Evidently, the rally has been going on for long enough that investors are now taking out their profits.

Investors seem to have gone into a selling spree after having a sudden realization that stocks have being being overbought for awhile.  Also, there may be uncertainty about the development of a COVID-19 vaccine before the end of the year.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was down 2.78% to 28,292.73, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was down 3.51% to 3,455.06.  The NASDAQ Composite index was down 4.96% to 11,458.10.

Stock indices had significant gains today.  This is the first time that the Dow has been above 29,000 and 29,100 since closing at its all-time high of 29,551.42 on Feb. 12.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was up 1.59% to 29,100.50, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was up 1.54% to 3,580.84, a record high.  The NASDAQ Composite index was up 0.98% to 12,056.44, a record high with the first close over 12,000.

Virtually all stock indices were up a good amount today.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was up 0.76% to 28,645.66, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was up 0.75% to 3,526.65, a record high.  The NASDAQ Composite index was up 1.39% to 11,939.67, a record high with the first close over 11,800 and 11,900 on the same day.

Many stock indices were down today, although the NASDAQ Composite was up with a record high.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was down 0.78% to 28,430.05, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was down 0.22% to 3,500.31.  The NASDAQ Composite index was up 0.68% to 11,775.46, a record high with the first close over 11,700.

There was a moderate to significant increase in stock indices today.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was up 0.57% to 28,653.87, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was up 0.67% to 3,508.01, a record high with the first close over 3,500.  The NASDAQ Composite index was up 0.60% to 11,695.63.

Stock indices were mixed today.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was up 0.57% to 28,492.27, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was up 0.17% to 3,484.55.  The NASDAQ Composite index was down 0.34% to 11,625.34.

Most stock indices were up at the end of the day.  However, the Dow was down, although it did not lose all of its gain from yesterday.

Many stock indices did not begin the day too well, but most ended the day with a gain.  Both the S&P 500 and the NASDAQ Composite closed at record highs.

Stock indices were up much of the day, but most of them had tanked by the time the market closed.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was down 0.31% to 27,692.88, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was down 0.44% to 3,374.85.  The NASDAQ Composite index was down 0.57% to 11,146.46.

Most stock indices began the day with a positive “zig” followed by a negative “zag” about an hour later.  The Dow remained in negative territory, while almost everything else ended the day with a gain.

The S&P 500 had a record high close today, the first one since its record high close of 3,386.15 almost 6 months ago on Feb. 19.  The NASDAQ had its first close over 11,200 today.

Stock indices were mixed today.  The Dow was up initially but “zagged” down into negative territory the rest of the day.  However, the S&P 500 and NASDAQ were up all day.

After a triple-digit rally for most of today’s session, the Dow was down by the end of the day.  Other major stock indices were down as well.  Looking at the graphs, it appears that the biggest plunges took place soon after Joe Biden tweeted out that his selection for a vice-presidential running mate is Kamala Harris, U.S. senator from California.

Most major stock indices were up today, with the Dow having a notable increase.  However, the NASDAQ Composite was down, now below 11,000 again.

Most major stock indices were down most of the day, barely squeeking out a gain at the end.  However, the NASDAQ Composite declined below its record high close yesterday, although it did remain above 11,000.

Many stock indices “zigged” and “zagged” a fair amount today, and the final results were mixed.  The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) was up 0.60% to 26,840.40, while the Standard & Poor’s 500 stock index was up 0.17% to 3,257.30.  The NASDAQ Composite index was down 0.73% to 10,473.83, a notable decline from yesterday’s record high.

Although there was a notable slump during the trading period, stocks were up a good amount by the end of the day.  This probably had to do with a promising COVID-19 vaccine by Moderna, whose stock has increased 12% as a result.

Stock indices dipped somewhat at the beginning of the day.  However, they were up significantly by the closing bell.
