What are the 30-day and 45-day periods following the end of the 70th Week?
How do you arrive at the 30-day period after the end of the 70th week? Why do you say that the Millennial Temple will be built during the 45-day period, following the 30-day period?
Ted’s Response:
Here is an important prophecy in the book of Daniel:
From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days. (Daniel 12:11,12)From another prophecy in Daniel, we know that the "abomination that causes desolation" will occur in the "middle" or "midst" of the 70th Week:
He will confirm a covenant with many for one "seven." In the middle of the "seven" he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on a wing he will set up an abomination that causes desolation, until the end that is decreed is poured out on him. (Daniel 9:27)Thus, in the midst of the 70th Week, at the time the "abomination that causes desolation" is set up, the time count of 1,260 days will begin. It will constitute the final 3½ years of the 70th Week (see Are the 1,260 days mentioned in Revelation a reference to the first half or to the second half of the 70th Week?).
This 1,260 days is equivalent to 42 months (considering an ancient Hebrew month to be 30 days), and also to 3½ years (or "time, times and half a time" = "a year, two years and a half a year"):
I believe that this period of 1,260 days is literal and that at the end of it Jesus will return physically to earth, when the Seventh Trumpet is blown. This will leave a period of 30 days (1,290 days – 1,260 days) remaining to fulfill the prophecy of Daniel 12:11. That month of time, following the end of the 70th Week and the return of Jesus to earth, will encompass the seven Bowl Judgments (Revelation 16:1-21). So the Antichrist's control and influence will extend from the day the abomination that causes desolation is set up until he is defeated in the Battle of Armageddon.
Now, Jesus fulfilled the four Hebrew Spring Feasts/Holy Days at His first coming. Likewise, I believe that He will fulfill the three Hebrew Fall Feasts/Holy Days at His second coming. As such, I believe that Jesus will return bodily to earth on a Yom Kippur.
On a calendar, there are 75 days from Yom Kippur to the first or second day of Hanukkah, the Feast of Dedication, which is a commemoration of the dedication of the rebuilt Jerusalem temple in ancient times. Now, 1,260 days + 75 days = 1,335 days (and 75 days – 30 days = 45 days). After Jesus' second advent (bodily descent) back to earth, the millennial Temple will be constructed in Jerusalem, presumably by Jesus (Zechariah 6:12,13).
It seems likely, then, that on the 1,335th day following the setting up of the "abomination that causes desolation" during the 70th Week, the 1,000-year Temple will be dedicated. This would fulfill Daniel 12:12. See these sections for more details: extensions to the 70th Week, 30 days, Bowl Judgments, Battle of Armageddon, and 45 days.
